✨These Are a Few of My Favorite Things✨
Yesterday morning as I was doubling as Mpact PR’s accounting department troubleshooting an ACH payment issue for a consultant, I had to take a step back and give thanks.
While I wear many hats on any given day – from strategist, writer, tech support and HR to hype woman, boss, janitor, and chef – I’m thankful to work with a team of consultants today. One lesson I’ve learned is that you can go further together than alone, and it continues to ring true.
Now let’s also be real. Many of us are ready to put 2024 behind us.
But before I do, here are a few more things I’m grateful for/or that are on my radar:
This Giving Tuesday and year-round, DIFFvelopment needs your support more than ever to continue empowering Black visionary voices from around the world.

Every contribution—big or small—helps fund the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, and advocates. Together, we can create a ripple effect that will empower individuals and entire communities.

Late October, a keynote presentation during South Asian Journalist Association’s 30th Anniversary brought my brother, Jonah Batambuze, Founder of the Blindian Project from England to NYC, and it was the gift that kept on giving. Not only did I finally get to see my brother in person, BUT, I also was connected to Anu Gupta, author of Breaking Bias and CEO of BE MORE with Anu.
Now, Anu and Jonah are upcoming guests on Radical Acts Uncut, so you’re in for a treat!
🚀ICYMI - New Pod Alert!🎙️✨Radical Acts Uncut launched on October 30! 🚀
I’ve always been fascinated by how what seems like a setback can often become someone’s superpower. That’s why I’m thrilled to announce Radical Acts Uncut 🎙, a podcast that dives deep into the moments when entrepreneurs, experts, and creatives faced life’s unexpected tests—and found the faith and inner strength to rise above.
Hosted by me, Jacqueline Lara, Radical Acts Uncut uncovers the moves and mindset shifts that transform challenges into opportunities. These conversations are about resolve, bravery, and finding beauty in the mess. And the best part? Listeners are invited to share their own radical acts through the Radical Report!
This week’s episode, “Tony-Nominated Broadway Producer Marjuan Canady Talks Community Impact”
